About Me
I am Megan Northshield. I am a product manager by trade and someone who cares deeply about thoughtful systems and clear thinking. Over time, I have learned how to work inside complexity, both professionally and personally.
My work focuses on building clarity where things feel messy. I am drawn to problems that sit at the intersection of people, process, and technology, and I care a lot about how systems actually feel to the humans using them. I believe good product work is as much about listening and restraint as it is about execution.
Outside of work, I live with chronic illness, including Addison’s disease. It has shaped how I move through the world with more intention, patience, and honesty, and it has influenced the way I think about health, resilience, and design. I share more about that experience on the Addison’s page.
Travel has always been something I love, especially when it allows me to connect more deeply with my heritage and family history. Being in places that carry personal meaning helps me feel grounded and curious in a different way, and it often gives me perspective that stays with me long after the trip ends. Traveling with chronic illness is not always simple, and it requires planning, flexibility, and honesty about my limits. Even so, it remains one of the ways I feel most connected to myself, to others, and to the larger world around me.
Most days, I am accompanied by my dog, Dublin, an affectionate and deeply loyal mini Bernedoodle who is convinced he should be involved in everything I do. He is a constant reminder to slow down, go outside, and stay present.
This site is a place to hold my work, my lived experience, and the things I am learning along the way.
